The Wasaga Beach Fish & Game Club is proudly affiliated with the Safe Boater Training Program of Canada
The Canadian Coast Guard has introduced new mandatory training and certification requirements for boating in Canada.
The Safe Boater Training Program is, Canadian Coast Guard approved to, Conduct Training, Administer Exam Testing, Issue Pleasure Craft Operator Cards and Certification.
The Safe Boater Training Program was established in 1999 in response to federal legislation requiring all persons operating a boat in Canada, to have certification. Following a legislated schedule, all boat operators in Canada must carry the license that proves they have been certified. The Safe Boater Team is a Canadian Coast Guard accredited "provider" of this certification, through the issuance of Pleasure Craft Operators Cards that are valid for life.
The Safe Boater Team consists of over 200 representatives and test centers across Canada. Highest quality manuals, materials, courses and testing - are all part of The Safe Boater program. Boaters can take direct instructional courses offered by The Wasaga Beach Fish & Game Club Inc, or experienced boaters can take a 'challenge test' interested individuals, groups or families can arrange certification by contacting our club office at Get Certified or by calling Brian at (705) 428-0386
We are dedicated to helping safe minded boaters obtain the required knowledge and documentation required to operate a vessel, boat or pleasure craft on waterways in Canada.
